DNC - On the evening of July 1, 2024, at Hall E2 of Nam Can Tho University (DNC), the grand finale of "DNC Golden MIC – The Host 2024" took place. After intense and dramatic rounds, the judges selected the Champion of DNC Golden MIC 2024 – Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Nhi. The new champion is currently a 9th cohort student majoring in Marketing (class DH21MAR01).

The DNC Golden MIC competition is an annual traditional event aimed at discovering potential talents for the university’s team of hosts. It also provides a platform for students passionate about public speaking to challenge themselves and pursue a professional MC career.

The 2024 finale attracted enthusiastic support from students and featured a panel of judges including:

This year's finale brought together outstanding contestants with flexible hosting skills, quick adaptability, and confident demeanor. They went through 3 rounds, each requiring contestants to demonstrate bravery, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to impress the judges and audience.

• Group Hosting Round: Contestants were divided into two groups (one with 5 contestants and one with 6), prepared a topic, and allocated content among members within 10 minutes. After this round, the two lowest-scoring contestants were eliminated.
• Solo Hosting Round: Each contestant chose a topic and handled a situation prepared by the organizers within 5 minutes. Two more contestants were eliminated based on scores.
• Co-hosting with Professional MCs: Remaining contestants hosted a segment with guest MCs from DNC and beyond. They were not given scripts in advance and had to improvise throughout the challenge.
• Speech and Q&A Round: The top 5 contestants competed to determine the Champion, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up of MIC Golden DNC 2024.

With an impressive, confident performance and fluent bilingual hosting skills, Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Nhi won over the judges and audience to become the new Champion of DNC Golden MIC 2024. Her victory is a testament to her relentless efforts and growth, highlighting her talent and potential in the MC field. The 1st Runner-up went to Le Duong Quy, the 2nd Runner-up to Le Quang Vinh, and consolation prizes were awarded to Tran Tuan Khai and Huynh Yen Nhu.

Additionally, the organizers presented special awards to outstanding contestants:

• Bui Tan Beo – Most Talented Contestant
• Le Duong Quy – Best Vocal Award

DNC Golden MIC 2024 is a meaningful platform that allows students passionate about public speaking to showcase their talent, hone their skills, and confidently express themselves.
