Recently, on January 31, 2026, international students studying at Trường Đại học Nam Cần Thơ had the opportunity to take part in DNC Spring Festival 2026 in a joyful, warm, and vibrant spring atmosphere. The program not only recreated a traditional Vietnamese cultural space, but also provided a meaningful occasion for international students to fully experience the Lunar New Year (Tết), while strengthening cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and connections among students from different countries.
At the Spring Festival, international students enthusiastically participated in decorating spring booths, introducing and selling a variety of signature dishes rich in the traditional flavors of their home countries. Each booth was carefully and creatively prepared, vividly reflecting cultural identity through decoration, cuisine, and presentation style, attracting strong interest from students, lecturers, and visitors throughout the event.
In addition to booth activities, international students eagerly joined the Traditional Tet Tray Competition with great enthusiasm and creativity. Through each festive food tray, the students demonstrated their understanding of and appreciation for traditional Vietnamese culinary culture. Moreover, cultural exchange performances prepared and presented by international students were thoughtfully invested, bringing diverse cultural colors and contributing to a lively, friendly, and emotionally rich atmosphere at DNC Spring Festival 2026. They also participated in the Design & Performance of Traditional Ethnic Costumes competition, honoring and celebrating cultural values.
At the conclusion of the festival, class DH25YQT01 excellently won Second Prize – Spring Booth Decoration, while student Heer Khatadia received the Most Impressive Model Award for presenting a recycled costume inspired by the traditional Vietnamese áo dài. These achievements stand as clear recognition of the international students’ efforts, unity, and creativity throughout their studies and participation in extracurricular activities at DNC.
Through this meaningful series of activities, the university’s strong commitment to building a friendly, open, and multicultural learning environment for international students was clearly demonstrated. DNC Spring Festival 2026 was not only a valuable playground helping international students integrate into Vietnamese student life, but also an important bridge fostering solidarity, cultural exchange, and the development of a dynamic, internationally integrated, and sustainably growing student community at Nam Can Tho University.
