DNC - On the afternoon of November 6, 2025, at the Hippocrates Hall, Nam Can Tho University held the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This event marks a new milestone in educational and research collaboration, opening up numerous opportunities for joint training programs and cooperative research between the two institutions.
The meeting took place in a warm and open atmosphere, with the participation of senior leaders from both sides. Representing Nam Can Tho University were Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector, along with leaders of various offices, faculties, and centers. From the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), the event was attended by Prof. Pai-Chi Li, President of AIT, and Dr. Phung Van Dong, Director of AIT Vietnam.

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), established in 1959 in Thailand, is one of the region’s most prestigious international institutions for education and research. With high-quality postgraduate programs, an extensive global partnership network, and strong expertise in engineering, technology, management, and sustainable development, AIT plays a vital role in fostering knowledge exchange and promoting international academic collaboration.
Establishing an official partnership between the two institutions in training, academic exchange, scientific research, and technology transfer.
Expanding the international cooperation network, thereby enhancing DNC’s reputation and academic integration within the region and globally.
Laying the foundation for future collaborative programs such as joint training initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and co-supervision of doctoral candidates.

Following the signing ceremony, the two sides will coordinate to implement a detailed Action Plan, focusing on establishing the DNC–AIT Coordination Team and developing a 12-month roadmap that includes academic exchanges, thematic seminars, and scholarship programs. Both parties have also agreed to maintain regular communication every six months to review progress and adjust the cooperation plan as needed, ensuring a sustainable and effective long-term partnership.
