On November 25, 2025, Nam Can Tho University (NCTU) welcomed a delegation from two Japanese corporations, Maezawa Kasei Industries and Oriental Consultants Global, to discuss strategic cooperation opportunities in science, construction, and environmental fields. The program marks a significant milestone in the University's international relations expansion strategy, aiming to build a corporate-linked training-research ecosystem aligned with global standards.
In his speech at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Party Committee Secretary and Rector – affirmed NCTU's direction in strengthening cooperation with reputable international partners. The University's leadership emphasized that connecting with Japanese corporations will open up opportunities to access advanced technologies, support training program development, and enhance the competitiveness of NCTU's human resources in the context of international integration.

Following the University's orientation, representatives of the two Japanese corporations shared an overview of their operations, technological capabilities, and key projects. Maezawa Kasei Industries – a leading enterprise in construction chemicals – introduced innovative, environmentally friendly material solutions widely applied in many countries. Oriental Consultants Global presented infrastructure consulting, urban planning, and sustainable development projects the corporation is implementing in Asia, including Vietnam.

During the discussion, the parties focused on potential cooperation areas such as faculty-student exchange programs, organizing specialized seminars, implementing applied research in construction chemicals, urban planning, and environmental fields, as well as internship opportunities at Japanese corporations' projects. These initiatives were evaluated as highly feasible, aligning with NCTU's expertise and internationalization goals.

The meeting concluded in a positive and cooperative spirit, with many shared development directions between the University and the two Japanese corporations.
