DNC - Sustainable development is not only a long-term goal of society but also a guiding principle in the educational, training, and community engagement activities at Nam Can Tho University. Upholding a learner-centered philosophy, the University consistently strives to build a learning environment aligned with social responsibility, environmental protection, and the promotion of humanistic values through its dynamic and passionate student organizations.

In this journey, the Youth Union and the Vietnam National Union of Students of Nam Can Tho University, together with outstanding volunteer clubs such as the Tuoi Tre Club (Youth Club) and the Mam La Nho Club (Little Sprouts Club), have played and continue to play a core role in turning sustainable development goals into reality through concrete, practical, and meaningful actions.

Volunteer activities at DNC go beyond gift-giving or material assistance, focusing instead on long-term companionship with the community. DNC students actively participate in programs supporting people in disadvantaged areas, children in special circumstances, the elderly living alone, as well as humanitarian blood donation drives and community healthcare initiatives. Through these efforts, the spirit of sharing, social responsibility, and compassion is nurtured sustainably within each student.

In response to the Sustainable Development Goals, DNC student organizations regularly carry out activities to raise environmental awareness, such as planting trees, cleaning up waste, promoting the reduction of single-use plastics, and fostering a green lifestyle on campus. These seemingly small actions play a meaningful role in shaping positive habits and spreading environmental awareness among students and the surrounding community.

Through Youth Union–Student Association activities and student clubs, students not only develop soft skills, teamwork, organizational and leadership abilities, but also cultivate character, civic responsibility, and a strong sense of social contribution. This serves as an essential foundation for nurturing a generation of young intellectuals who are professionally competent, compassionate, and forward-looking.

With the support, guidance, and facilitation from the University, student organizations at Nam Can Tho University are gradually affirming the pioneering role of youth in the journey toward sustainable development. Every volunteer activity, every environmental action, and every community-focused program represents a “piece of the puzzle” contributing to the image of DNC students as dynamic, compassionate, and socially responsible.
