On June 12, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son, Member of the Central Party Committee and Minister of Education and Training, visited Nam Can Tho University with his delegation.
During this visit, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son engaged with the university to understand its teaching, learning, and training facilities.
Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, provided an overview of the university's operations and progress toward strategic objectives.
After 11 years of development, with the commitment of the University Council, Party Committee, Board of Directors, and faculty, Nam Can Tho University has grown into a trusted educational institution, producing high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta and nationwide. The university features modern facilities, currently educating over 22,000 students, with more than 10,000 graduates.
Dr. Nguyen Kim Son emphasized the importance of innovation in teaching and learning and encouraged the university to integrate new technologies and creative approaches.

He commended the university's advancements in infrastructure, training capacity, program offerings, and faculty development, noting these as crucial for enhancing education quality and institutional prestige.
The Minister highlighted the importance of prioritizing education quality and ongoing improvement to achieve objectives. He stressed the need for research and training to meet societal demands, particularly in generating high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta and the broader nation.
Nam Can Tho University will heed the Minister's advice to continue improving facilities, enhancing the learning environment, and expanding collaborations with educational institutions worldwide to incorporate advanced teaching methods. The university is committed to pioneering innovation and creativity in accordance with Party and State guidelines.
