Build Nam Can Tho University into a center for applied training and research-oriented human resource development, meeting the demands of national industrialization and modernization, particularly in the Mekong Delta region. The university focuses on implementing three key breakthrough directions:

Build a synchronized and modern infrastructure that effectively meets the research and teaching needs of staff and lecturers, as well as the learning and research needs of students.

Develop a highly qualified teaching staff

Develop a team of highly qualified lecturers who apply learner-centered active teaching methods; design training programs closely linked to practical requirements, meeting the demands of society and the labor market.

Promote research activities

Strengthen research and development in science and technology and enhance international cooperation with countries that have advanced education systems, aiming to expand multidisciplinary and multi-level training.

DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES

Internationalization

Invest in developing diverse levels and types of training programs following internationalization standards, meeting societal needs with a dual approach between popular and elite education. Create opportunities for access to higher education and entrepreneurship for labor market segments in the Mekong Delta region, nationwide, and within the process of international integration.

Innovation

Build a comprehensive training, research, and enterprise system with synchronized, modern facilities oriented toward innovation, applying artificial intelligence (AI) and the startup university model. Proactively create practical experience environments right on campus through university-based enterprises that directly add value and revenue to the educational institution, community, and learners.

High Qualification

Develop a team of highly qualified lecturers, with more than 50% holding doctoral degrees within the working-age group, meeting international integration requirements; apply active teaching methods suitable for the current digital transformation context; possess internationally recognized research capabilities and innovation skills to serve sustainable development goals.

Design a reasonable and flexible organizational structure. Equip learners with comprehensive knowledge and entrepreneurial skills aligned with international integration trends; create a favorable environment for innovation activities of lecturers and learners.
