2. Admission Methods:
Method 1: Direct admission according to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) regulations - (Code 301)
- The eligible applicants are those regulated in Article 8 of the Undergraduate Admission Regulations by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 National High School Graduation Exam - (Code 100)
- Admission based on the total score of a combination of 3 subjects in the 2025 National High School Graduation Exam, plus any priority points (if applicable) corresponding to the applicant’s chosen major.
Total Score = Subject 1 Score + Subject 2 Score + Subject 3 Score + Priority Points
Method 3: Admission based on high school academic performance (Transcripts) - (Code 200)
- Admission based on the total score of a combination of 3 subjects throughout Grade 12 corresponding to the applicant’s chosen major.
Total Score = Subject 1 Score + Subject 2 Score + Subject 3 Score + Priority Points
Method 4: Admission based on a combination of 2025 graduation exam results and high school transcripts - (Code 407)
- Admission based on the scores of 3 subjects belonging to the same subject combination, plus any priority points (if applicable). Among these 3 subjects, applicants may choose to use the scores of one or two subjects from the National High School Graduation Exam combined with two or one subjects’ academic results from Grade 12.
Total Score = Subject 1 Score + Subject 2 Score + Subject 3 Score + Priority Points
Method 5: Admission based on a combination of graduation exam results and international certificates - (Code 409)
- Admission based on the total score of 3 subjects belonging to the same subject combination, plus any priority points (if applicable). Applicants may choose to use scores from two subjects in the National High School Graduation Exam combined with converted scores of international language certificates for admission.
Total Score = Subject 1 Score + Subject 2 Score + Converted Certificate Score + Priority Points
Attached is the conversion table for international language certificates.
Method 6: Admission based on a combination of high school transcripts and international certificates - (Code 410)
- Admission based on the total score of 3 subjects within the same subject combination, plus any priority points (if applicable). Applicants may register using scores from 2 subjects’ academic transcripts combined with converted scores from valid international language certificates at the time of admission.
Total Score = Subject 1 Score + Subject 2 Score + Converted Certificate Score + Priority Points

Method 7: Admission based on results of Competency Assessment Exams held by other universities - (Code 402)
- Applicants who participate in competency assessment tests organized by other universities such as Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University, and other universities.
Method 8: Admission for students graduating from overseas high schools - (Code 411)
- Applicants who have graduated from international high school programs and hold valid international certificates that meet the admission requirements.
Method 9: Admission based on interviews combined with other criteria - (Code 412)
- Applicants who graduated from foreign high school programs either abroad or in Vietnam; or who have studied both abroad and in Vietnam and graduated from a Vietnamese high school program. Additionally, they must hold recognized international language certificates or international competency assessment certificates.
3. Admission Requirements

For all programs (except Health Sciences)

Applicants must meet the 2025 minimum admission threshold determined by Nam Can Tho University (details will be announced on the university’s official website).

For Health Sciences programs:

Minimum admission scores based on National High School Graduation Exam results will be determined by the university’s Admission Council after the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announces the national threshold.

For admission methods that do not use the National High School Graduation Exam results, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • For Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy: Academic performance in Grade 12 must be rated as Excellent or Good, or High school graduation evaluation score must be 8.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale).
  • For Medical Laboratory Technology, Diagnostic Imaging, Preventive Medicine, and Nursing: Academic performance in Grade 12 must be rated as Fair or above, or High school graduation evaluation score must be 6.5 or higher.
For applicants who have graduated from intermediate, college, or university programs, the admission conditions follow Point b, Clause 5, Article 9 of Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDĐT

For applicants to Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy undergraduate programs, the admission threshold can be met by fulfilling one of the following:

  • Grade 12 academic performance rated Excellent, or average grade of general education subjects throughout high school is 8.0 or higher;
  • Graduated from high school with Excellent academic rating, or Grade 12 rated Good and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Graduated from intermediate, college, or university programs with Excellent classification;
  • Graduated from intermediate, college, or university programs with Good classification and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

For applicants to Nursing, Preventive Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Diagnostic Imaging undergraduate programs, the admission threshold can be met by fulfilling one of the following:

  • Grade 12 academic performance rated Excellent, or average grade of general education subjects throughout high school is 8.0 or higher;
  • Graduated from high school with Excellent academic rating, or Grade 12 rated Good and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Graduated from intermediate, college, or university programs with Excellent classification;
  • Graduated from intermediate, college, or university programs with Excellent classification;

SECTION I: Applicant Information
  • Full Name: Fill in exactly as on your birth certificate, in uppercase letters with diacritics.
  • Gender: Mark an X in the appropriate box.
  • Date of Birth: Fill in the full day, month, and year of birth.
  • Place of Birth: Fill in the name of the province.
  • Province Code: Fill in the province code according to the place of birth.
  • Permanent Residence: Fill in full details including hamlet/ward, commune/ward, district/city, and province.
  • Province and District Codes: Fill in the province and district codes according to the permanent residence.
  • Ethnicity and Religion: Fill in exactly as stated on your ID card/citizen ID card.
  • ID Number: Fill in the full number, date of issue, and place of issue.
  • Health Insurance Number: Write the last 10 digits on the health insurance card currently in use.
SECTION II: Admission Registration
  • Mark an X in the box corresponding to the admission method.

  • Grade 10 School: Fill in the name of the high school or Vocational Education Center.
  • Grade 11 School: Fill in the name of the high school or Vocational Education Center.
  • Grade 12 School: Fill in the name of the high school or Vocational Education Center.
  • Province and School Codes: Fill in the province and school codes according to the regulations of the Department of Education and Training.
  • Region: Mark an X in the appropriate box.
  • Year of High School Graduation: Fill in the corresponding year.
  • Belonging to Priority Group: Fill in the corresponding number (if any).
  • Grade 12 Academic Performance: Fill in the correct academic performance as recorded in your high school transcript.
SECTION IV: Admission Methods
  • Mark an X in one of the admission methods
  • Current Address: Fill in full details including hamlet/quarter, commune/ward, district/city, and province;
  • Contact Phone Number: Provide a valid phone number that can be reached when needed;
  • Email: Provide a valid email address to receive electronic notifications.

Note: Nam Can Tho University offers 2,000 scholarships to the earliest admitted new students based on their admission scores, along with other scholarship and tuition fee exemption policies.
