I. Overview
One of Can Tho University's faculties is the Faculty of Architecture-Construction and Environment
studies. It was founded in 2017 by the Chairman of the University's Board of Directors' Decision No.
16/QD-DHNCT, which was issued on March 24. To fulfill the demands of contemporary and sustainable
urban development, the Faculty provides top-notch human resources through teaching and in-depth
research in the domains of design, construction, land, and environmental management.
Development Journey and Strategic Vision

Throughout its twelve years of founding and growth, the Faculty has consistently made
investments in creating training programs, enhancing the teaching staff's capabilities, and
growing both domestic and international collaboration, all with the goal of producing
top-notch human resources that meet the demands of sustainable development and urban
modernization. The Faculty has been contributing significantly to the socioeconomic
development of the region and the country, with the goal of becoming a renowned center for
training, research, and technology transfer.
II. Functions and Responsibilities
In addition to conducting scientific research and technology transfer, the
Faculty of Architecture-Construction and Environment studies is in charge of managing and providing
training in the following areas: architecture, construction engineering, construction management,
traffic construction engineering, land management, natural resources and environment management, and
real estate. The Faculty's tasks include:
- Coordinating training and instruction in specialist and multidisciplinary fields.
- Conducting technical services, technology transfer, and scientific research themes.
- Collaborating on training, research, and practice initiatives with both domestic and
international businesses and organizations.
- Offering advice to the school on training programs that are appropriate for real-world
requirements and consulting on enrollment.
III. Activities
The faculty frequently plans and supports scientific research projects for
both
students and lecturers, which fosters innovation, creativity, and the practical application of
knowledge.
- More than 10 research topics at all levels have been successfully implemented.
- 16 scientific articles published in international and specialized journals.
- More than 15 textbooks and professional documents have been issued and accepted.
- More than 20 school-level scientific articles have been published.
- Students of the Faculty actively participate in scientific research with the guidance of
lecturers, gradually forming the spirit of independent and creative research.
IV. Development
In the coming period, the Faculty focuses on strategic directions:
- Expand and enhance international cooperation in training and research.
- Strengthen links with businesses so that students have opportunities to practice and access
professional practices.
- Develop postgraduate training programs to meet the needs of in-depth professional development.
- Invest in scientific research with the goal of having many international publications of high
practical value.
- Innovate teaching methods towards focusing on learners, applying digital technology in training.
V. Organizational structure
The Faculty of Architecture-Construction and Environment is a prominent training and research unit
in the domains of architecture, construction, and environment. It has a strong organizational
structure and a group of knowledgeable professors.
Personnel and academic collaboration

The number and caliber of the Faculty's teaching personnel have increased steadily
throughout the course of 12 years of training. There are currently 76 faculty members,
including 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 9 doctors, 64 master's degrees, and 1
bachelor's degree.

In order to finish the human resources system and establish further specialized departments,
the faculty will continue to advise the Board of Directors and the school's leaders to hire
knowledgeable and experienced lecturers.

The number and caliber of faculty members and lecturers are increasing; they are highly
skilled, extremely specialized, and committed to their work; they are also receiving
training to further their credentials.

In order to instruct and mentor students, the faculty also collaborates with professors and
specialists from Mekong Delta universities, research facilities, companies, etc.
