I. Overview

The Faculty of Business Administration & Marketing - Nam Can Tho University is dedicated to training high-quality human resources in the fields of business and marketing, equipping students with solid professional knowledge, flexible practical skills, and business ethics in a dynamic environment.

Establishment and Training Programs

  • The Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing was separated from the Faculty of Economics by Decision No. 132/QD-CTHDT-ĐHNCT dated September 11, 2023, issued by Nam Can Tho University.
  • The Faculty comprises two departments: the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Marketing.
  • It manages three undergraduate training programs: Business Administration, International Business, and Marketing. In addition, it oversees master's and doctoral programs in Business Administration.
  • The Faculty also delivers an international joint training program in Business Administration at the undergraduate level in collaboration with the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Lecturers and Development Orientation

  • Over more than two years of development, the Faculty’s team of lecturers has grown significantly in both quantity and quality.
  • The team includes many full-time lecturers with master's, doctoral, associate professor, and professor-level qualifications.
  • The Faculty benefits from highly qualified and reputable adjunct lecturers, including associate professors from research institutes and universities in Vietnam and abroad.
  • The Faculty’s top priority is to learn from internationally ranked universities to develop advanced training programs that align with regional and global integration standards.
II. Functions and Responsibilities

The Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing at Nam Can Tho University is responsible for training high-quality human resources at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels in the fields of Business Administration, International Business, and Marketing. The Faculty organizes application-oriented training programs that integrate theory with practice through close partnerships with businesses and the implementation of an enterprise model within the university.

Academic and Research Activities

  • In addition to teaching, the Faculty also promotes scientific research, textbook compilation, lecture publication, and the dissemination of research findings in both domestic and international journals.
  • The Faculty focuses on developing a team of highly qualified and dedicated lecturers who continuously improve their teaching and research capabilities.

Student Engagement and Learning Environment

  • The Faculty actively participates in educational quality accreditation, organizes and supports activities of youth and student unions, student movements, volunteer work, and community service programs.
  • All efforts aim to create a modern, dynamic learning environment aligned with digital transformation trends and international integration.
III. Activities

The Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing implements a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing training quality and fostering the holistic development of students.

Academic Activities and Practical Experience

  • Academically, the Faculty organizes teaching sessions, specialized seminars, and panel discussions with business experts, providing updated knowledge in business, marketing, and digital transformation.
  • In terms of practical experience, students have opportunities to take part in internships, field trips, and work placements at enterprises through the "enterprise within university" model, helping them develop real-world professional skills.
  • The Faculty also promotes scientific research activities among students and lecturers, encouraging the publication of research projects and articles in both domestic and international journals.

Extracurricular Activities and Career Support

  • Extracurricular activities such as performing arts, sports, academic competitions, volunteer programs, and community engagement—organized by the Faculty’s Student Union—take place regularly, creating a vibrant and connected learning environment.
  • The Faculty also frequently collaborates to organize enterprise networking events, job fairs, and career-oriented talk shows to help students expand their career opportunities after graduation.
IV. Development

In the coming time, the Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing aims to develop into a prestigious and high-quality training unit in the fields of management and marketing, meeting the demands of international integration and adapting to the rapid changes of the digital economy.

Strategic Development Orientation

  • The Faculty places strong emphasis on innovating its curriculum in accordance with international standards, enhancing the application of technology and digital transformation in teaching and management.
  • The Faculty will continue expanding its partnerships with domestic and international businesses and organizations to improve practical training, support entrepreneurship, and create job opportunities for students.
  • Developing a team of highly qualified lecturers with international teaching and research capabilities is also a key priority.
  • The Faculty is committed to building a creative learning environment that closely integrates academia, practice, and community engagement. This will contribute to nurturing a generation of students with innovative thinking, strong professional skills, good moral character, and the ability to thrive in a globalized world.
V. Organizational structure

As of now, the organizational structure of the Faculty consists of: one Dean, one Vice Dean, two Deputy Heads of Department, one assistant, one (administrative) secretary, and ten experienced lecturers.

Organizational Structure and Recruitment Orientation

  • In the near future, the Faculty will continue to advise the University Board of Rectors and Leadership on recruiting qualified and experienced academic staff in the field of Health Sciences to strengthen the human resources structure and establish additional specialized departments.

Lecturer Qualifications and Professional Development

  • The teaching staff of the Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing possess high professional qualifications and are dedicated to their work.
  • The Faculty has a considerable number of staff, lecturers, and employees with advanced expertise.
  • The teaching team is well-qualified, experienced in teaching, and consistently strives to improve their professional knowledge through continuous learning and competition.
