I. Overview
Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Nam Can Tho University was established under Decision
No. 43/QD-CTHĐQT-ĐHNCT dated December 28, 2013 of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, with the
goal of training technical and technological human resources to serve the socio-economic development
of the Mekong Delta region in particular and the whole country in general.
Functions and Development Orientation

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology has the function of training, scientific research,
and technology transfer in the fields under its charge.

Its mission includes training human resources in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering
Technology, Industrial Management, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

The Faculty is responsible for participating in scientific research and technology transfer
to contribute to the socio-economic development of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.

In addition, the Faculty manages its academic staff and affiliated specialists, and
coordinates with functional departments to orient the development of core human resources
and improve training quality.
II. Functions and Responsibilities
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Nam Can Tho University, has the function of training,
scientific research, and technology transfer in the fields and professions under its charge.
Training Fields and Responsibilities

The Faculty trains high-quality human resources in the fields of Food Technology, Chemical
Engineering Technology, Industrial Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

It participates in scientific research and technology transfer activities to contribute to
the socio-economic development of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.

Additionally, the Faculty manages teaching staff, coordinates with departments to develop
core human resources, builds a professional working environment, and promotes the
development of both lecturers and students.
III. Activities
Teaching, Quality Assurance, and Student Engagement

The Faculty cooperates with the Training Management Department in teaching, organizing
scientific seminars, publishing domestic and foreign articles, compiling textbooks, and
improving lecturers' qualifications.

The Faculty has completed the quality assessment of the training programs in Information
Technology (2021) and Food Technology (2022), and received a Certificate of Merit from the
Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City for outstanding achievements in the
2021–2023 school year.

In addition to training, the Faculty has actively participated in admissions consulting,
supporting students through the role of head lecturer and organizing extracurricular
activities, helping students develop soft skills and improve training quality.
IV. Development
In the next phase, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology will focus on training human resources
in the direction of application; continue to supplement and adjust the training program, train and
develop staff and lecturers to increasingly meet the teaching and scientific research needs of the
unit.
The Faculty will strive to be recognized as an excellent labor collective; continue to improve the
quality of training, pay attention to training staff, employees, lecturers, and students.
V. Organizational structure
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology has a team of experienced lecturers, including doctors,
masters, and experts trained from prestigious universities. The Faculty is committed to building a
professional learning environment, helping students develop comprehensive knowledge and skills.
Academic Staff and Research Engagement

In addition to teaching, lecturers actively conduct scientific research, technology
transfer, and business cooperation to improve training quality and bridge the gap between
theory and practice.

The Faculty has a team of dynamic, professionally qualified staff and lecturers who are
passionate about their profession. Most hold doctoral or master's degrees and are actively
involved in teaching, scientific research, and faculty operations.
