In an effort to expand its international collaboration network and enhance the quality of education and scientific research, on July 7, 2025, Nam Can Tho University signed a cooperation agreement with Nan Kai University of Technology (Taiwan), marking a new milestone in the University’s internationalization strategy.
Nan Kai University of Technology (NKUT) was established in 1971, and is located in Nantou district, central Taiwan. NKUT is one of Taiwan’s leading applied universities, renowned for its practice-oriented academic programs closely aligned with the needs of industrial and technological development.

This memorandum of understanding (MOU) not only reflects the goodwill between the two universities but also concretizes their future strategic development directions. Nam Can Tho University and Nan Kai University of Technology are committed to implementing a range of meaningful and sustainable cooperative programs, with a particular focus on promoting academic exchanges between lecturers and students, and expanding opportunities for study, research, and internships in an international environment.

The two universities will jointly develop collaborative training programs and create favorable conditions for students to participate in transfer study programs in Taiwan. In addition, scientific research collaboration will be actively promoted through co-organized conferences, the sharing of research findings, and the implementation of high-impact applied research projects. Building on this foundation, both universities also aim to support students in accessing scholarship programs, career development opportunities, and international employment prospects especially with companies and corporate partners affiliated with Nan Kai University of Technology.

Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of Nam Can Tho University emphasized that the signing of the MOU with Nan Kai University of Technology marks an important milestone in the university’s journey to enhance the quality of education and affirm its position within the regional academic network. Nan Kai University of Technology also expressed their hope for a long-term, effective, and increasingly fruitful partnership between the two institutions.
