In recent days, the Northern provinces of our country have been struggling to cope with prolonged and severe flooding. Many areas have been cut off, with houses, farmland, and property swept away by the raging waters, leaving behind immense loss and devastation. The lives of local residents have become increasingly difficult, facing shortages of food and essential daily supplies. Confronted with such heartbreaking scenes, every Vietnamese heart is deeply moved and wishes to share in the hardships of those affected.
Understanding the pain and losses suffered by Northern residents, Nam Can Tho University has launched a fundraising campaign to support people in the Northern provinces in overcoming the aftermath of the floods. This initiative not only embodies the noble Vietnamese tradition of “mutual support and solidarity” but also provides an opportunity for the university’s staff, lecturers, and students to express their compassion and sense of responsibility toward the community and their fellow citizens across the country.
Immediately after its launch, the campaign received enthusiastic support from the entire faculty, staff, and student body of the university. A total of 29,865,000 VND was raised, with the hope of easing the suffering of flood-affected residents, helping them overcome difficulties, rebuild their homes, and soon restore stability to their lives.
The university believes that every act of kindness, no matter how small, will serve as a great source of encouragement and strength for the people of Northern Vietnam during this challenging time. It is the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and mutual support—deeply rooted in Vietnamese tradition—that will help us overcome natural disasters together and move toward a peaceful and brighter future.
Nam Can Tho University extends its heartfelt wishes of health, strength, and hope to the people of Northern Vietnam. The university sincerely hopes that residents in the affected areas will soon overcome the consequences of the disaster, rebuild their homes and farmlands, and return to a life of stability, warmth, and peace.
