The Office of Admissions was officially established under Decision No. 58/QĐ-CTHĐQT-ĐHNCT, issued on October 28, 2015, by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam Can Tho University. The establishment of the Office marks not only an important milestone but also a significant step forward in organizational development, contributing to the University's progress toward greater professionalism and operational excellence.
With a passionate and highly qualified team, the Center constantly innovates and stays creative to keep up with the digital transformation trends in education. It also provides high-quality IT services to best serve the needs of the university’s staff, lecturers, students, and overall operations.
The Team of The Office of Admissions
The Office of Admissions plays a vital role in assisting prospective students in selecting academic programs that align with their abilities, interests, and the practical needs of society. Career orientation is considered an essential first step in helping students make informed decisions regarding their future education and careers.
The Office is responsible for developing plans and implementing programs to introduce information about admissions, training programs, preferential policies, and the learning environment to students, parents, and the community through various forms such as direct consultation at high schools, participating in enrollment fairs, etc.
In parallel, the Office coordinates with internal and external units to promote the University's image and promptly update the latest admissions information, thereby enabling candidates to make appropriate choices for their future.
At the time of its inception, The Office of Admissions had only three staff members handling initial operations. To meet the growing demands of admissions and career counseling, the Office has since expanded to a total of 12 dedicated staff members
The structure includes: 01 Head of Office, 01 Deputy Head, and 10 specialists.
The current team is clearly assigned to specific areas: admissions consulting, career orientation for students, multi-channel communications, event organization, and coordination with high schools. This specialization allows the Office to operate efficiently and better support students in choosing suitable academic paths and understanding their future career opportunities.
In recent years, under the guidance of the University’s Board of Rectors and with strategic investment in facilities and technology from the Board of Directors—alongside close collaboration with internal departments—The Office of Admissions has continuously developed its expertise, enhanced staff capacity, and refined its operational procedures.
With a spirit of unity, enthusiasm, and responsibility, the Office has consistently strived to deliver accurate and timely information, helping students gain clear and appropriate career direction based on personal capabilities and social demands. Thanks to these efforts, Nam Can Tho University’s admissions have consistently met targets, with student enrollment steadily increasing year by year. The Office has also earned the trust and support of many students and parents nationwide serving as a powerful motivation for continuous innovation and support throughout students’ journey of shaping their future.
In alignment with the mission and vision of Nam Can Tho University, the Admissions and Career Counseling Office constantly strives to enhance professional capacity, innovate consulting methods, and strengthen engagement with high school students. The goal is to help students better understand academic programs that match their abilities, social needs, and labor market trends.
In the near future, the Office will further promote practical career counseling activities tailored to student needs while expanding its coordination network with high schools to enhance accessibility and candidate support. This contributes to building a high-quality workforce for the Mekong Delta region and the nation as a whole.
