The Office of Facilities Management at Nam Can Tho University was established pursuant to Decision No. 13/QĐ-CTHĐT-ĐHNCT dated June 12, 2013, issued by the Chairman of the University Council. Over the years, the department has consistently fulfilled its assigned duties and plans effectively, contributing significantly to the university’s development.
To advise the University Council and the Board of Rectors on the management and utilization of the university’s facilities and equipment. To oversee procurement activities, manage equipment and property, and monitor their efficient use in support of teaching, researching, and learning.
The Office of Facilities Management is tasked by the University Council and the Board of Rectors with managing the university's assets and planning for the timely procurement of modern, efficient equipment to support teaching and administrative activities.
Organize and manage other physical facilities within the school.
Collaborate with relevant departments to plan and optimize the allocation of lecture hall facilities in alignment with the school’s academic and training programs.
Organize and ensure the effective delivery of services supporting lecture halls, such as the provision of drinking water, and the maintenance of lighting and sound systems in lecture areas, the administrative block, and dormitory areas.
Ensure the effective management and utilization of assigned assets in accordance with legal regulations and the internal policies of the school.
Coordinate with relevant units to distribute uniforms in accordance with regulations; update the inventory status of student uniforms, and swiftly place uniform orders based on actual demand.
Procure and equip essential tools and supplies for rest areas.
Conduct annually inventories asset as required, manage asset records and report damaged equipment for disposal.
Coordinate with relevant department units to plan and procure machinery and equipment using all available funding sources in compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with relevant department to monitor the use of chemicals and laboratory equipment in accordance with established norms and regulations.
Participate in fire safety equipment procurement and ensure compliance with fire prevention regulations.
Manage teaching tools and interior furnishings; monitor repair needs and request replacements as necessary.
Supervise labor and facility use to ensure effectiveness.

Procurement activities have been carried out promptly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The department has ensured proper maintenance and preservation of teaching and working assets through regular inspections, timely repairs, and replacement of teaching and office equipment, thereby actively supporting teaching, learning, and the overall operations of faculty and staff throughout the university.
