I. Functions

Advise the university leadership on the organization, management, and development of international cooperation between Nam Can Tho University and international organizations or foreign educational institutions.

Receive and process information related to international cooperation activities; coordinate with relevant units, including international organizations and foreign-affiliated entities in Vietnam, to develop and implement international cooperation initiatives.

II. Duties

The Department of International Cooperation is responsible for developing and coordinating international partnership strategies, managing collaborative educational and research projects, and fostering global academic integration aligned with Nam Can Tho University’s development goals.

Strategy development and project management

Develop and implement short-term, mid-term, and long-term strategies, programs, and plans for international cooperation in alignment with the university’s development orientation.
Compile periodic reports on international cooperation activities as required by the university.
Develop and negotiate projects, research topics, and cooperation agreements in education, training, and scientific research with international partners.
Coordinate and manage international projects; supervise implementation processes and ensure quality assurance of international cooperation projects.

International partnerships and academic exchange

Research information on international organizations and university networks; propose to the university administration the participation in such organizations and networks.
Coordinate and participate in activities organized by international organizations of which Nam Can Tho University is a member.
Maintain and develop relationships with foreign organizations to propose and organize cooperation, exchange, and sponsorship activities.

Delegation reception and mobility programs

Organize reception and management of international delegations coming to teach, study, conduct scientific research, transfer technology, and share teaching experiences at the university.
Participate in or lead receptions of international guests as assigned by the university administration.
Collaborate in developing international joint training programs, expert exchange, lecturer and student exchange, and sending faculty and students to study and work abroad.
Participate in managing and operating international joint training programs and cooperation projects in education and training; supervise quality assurance conditions and conduct periodic quality assessments.
