1. Program Overview

The Professional Skills Training Program for the Automotive Mechanical Engineering major is designed to equip students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills related to human resource standards and operational management in the field of automotive mechanics. The program covers topics such as automotive service center management, roles and responsibilities within automotive dealerships, service workshop operations, and evaluation methods for service performance. Students will also develop skills in problem identification, analysis, evaluation, and proposing solutions to prevent and address failures in automobiles and power equipment.

2. Training Objectives

Knowledge

  • Understand organizational structures and operations of automotive dealerships, including the functions and responsibilities of service department roles and service procedures of automotive and power equipment manufacturers.
  • Acquire knowledge in economic management and production operations within businesses related to automotive mechanical engineering.
  • Gain technical management knowledge in assembly, manufacturing, operation, maintenance, and business of engines, tractors, specialized vehicles, and other power equipment.
  • Learn inspection and maintenance methods, understand types of failures and maintenance cycles of automotive components, and grasp basic service procedures in workshops.
  • Be able to read repair requests, organize tasks scientifically, and analyze, interpret, and solve management issues in automotive service operations.

Skills

  • Capable of consulting, negotiating, and providing feedback to customers, manufacturers, and managers regarding repair outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Able to prepare technical inspection and maintenance forms, and perform maintenance tasks according to standard procedures and quality requirements.
  • Skilled in evaluating post-repair results, diagnosing technical conditions, and facilitating communication between manufacturers, users, and service providers.
  • Proficient in repairing and maintaining automotive systems, understanding failure types and maintenance cycles.
  • Able to manage and operate service businesses related to automotive mechanics: maintenance, assembly, sales of vehicles, construction equipment, power machinery, and agricultural machines.
3. Program Content

3.1. Technical Skills

  • Inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of automotive and power equipment systems.
  • Reading technical documents, repair requests, and planning workshop tasks.
  • Applying new technologies in maintenance and equipment operation.

3.2. Management and Operational Skills

  • Managing service workshops, organizing personnel, assigning tasks, and supervising service quality.
  • Business management, production operations, and performance analysis in mechanical enterprises.
  • Reporting, data analysis, and proposing process improvements.

3.3. Communication and Customer Service Skills

  • Technical consulting, customer negotiation, and professional communication.
  • Building strong relationships between users, technicians, and manufacturers.
  • Effective communication in multicultural environments and real-world scenarios.

3.4. Career Development Skills

  • Career planning, resume building (CV), and interview preparation.
  • Teamwork, technical presentation, and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Lifelong learning, technology updates, and adaptability to industry changes.

Registration Steps

  • Step 1: Receive the registration form at the Center for Vocational Education and Rural Development (Individual registration, group or class registration is possible)
  • Step 2: Fill in all the information and paste 2 3x4 photos on the registration form
  • Step 3: Pay the tuition fee at the Finance and Planning Department and return the voucher to the Center
  • Step 4: After paying the fee, students must update the class schedule on the Center's website every week
