I. Introduction
The DNC Software Development and Application Center is a unit under Nam Can Tho
University, established by Decision No. 26/QD-CTHĐT-ĐHNTC dated February 22, 2022, issued by
the Chairman of the University Council.
With a passionate and highly qualified team, the Center constantly innovates and stays creative
to keep up with the digital transformation trends in education. It also provides high-quality IT
services to best serve the needs of the university’s staff, lecturers, students, and overall
operations.

II. Functions and Duties
1. Functions
The DNC Software Development and Application Center functions as a consulting
and implementation unit for information technology solutions. It also serves as a focal point for
organizing research, application, and technology transfer activities in the field of IT. The Center
plays a key role in integrating digital technologies into the university’s management, training,
and research activities.
2. Duties
Managing and operating the university's IT infrastructure
- The Center is responsible for organizing and implementing the management of the
university’s information technology infrastructure, ensuring the security and stability of
the internal network, operational software, academic management software, digital library
systems, email services, and the university’s websites. In addition, the Center is tasked
with guiding, supporting, and
providing IT skills training for staff, lecturers, and employees in order to enhance
technological
competence in their professional activities.
Technical support for students
- The Center is directly in charge of technical
issues related to students’ use of the university’s IT systems, such as student email
accounts, access to online learning platforms, login to the academic portal, and support for
operations involving
digital learning materials and specialized software. This ensures that students can study,
search
for information, and interact with the IT system in a convenient, timely, and efficient.
Research - Development - Technology Transfer
- The Center also serves as a hub for researching, developing, and implementing
practical software applications to support teaching, learning, and the university’s
administrative and management activities. These products are
designed to meet real- world needs, thereby providing IT students with opportunities to
engage in
application- based learning models that combine hands-on practice with theoretical
knowledge.
- The Center proactively implements research topics and projects to
create software products for the market, thereby contributing to establishing the
university's
position and brand in the technology field. The Center also organizes short-term training
courses to
help students enhance their practical skills, meeting the demand for IT professionals in
areas such
as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), information security, and
more.

The staff of the Center consists of highly skilled personnel, including IT
officers, engineers,
programmers, and technical specialists, who are well-trained and regularly updated with new
knowledge. The Center's team is committed to creating a professional, united, and creative
