I. Introduction
Student success and workforce development center is a unit under
Nam Can Tho University, established according to Decision No. 23/QĐ-CTHĐQT-ĐHNCT dated June 25, 2015
by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam Can Tho University on the establishment of the
Center.
II. Functions and Duties
- The Center functions to provide training in Information Technology, Foreign
Languages, Soft Skills, and Professional Skills for students through flexible formats
tailored to each field of study with high socialization and convenient services,
contributing to improving the level and skills in using Information Technology, Foreign
Languages, Soft Skills, and Professional Skills for students after graduation.
- Survey and compile statistics on learning needs for Information Technology,
Foreign Languages, Soft Skills, and Professional Skills, and based on this, propose to the
University Board of Directors to develop plans for opening training and professional
development classes to meet learners' needs.
- Organize and implement training and professional development programs: Basic
and Advanced Information Technology Application Program, English Program according to
University output standards; English Program according to the 6-level foreign language
competency framework for Vietnam; TOEIC English review program; Soft Skills Program;
Professional Skills Program; Other IT, Foreign Language, and skills training programs to
meet learners' needs.
- Organize examinations and issue certificates for Center learners who have
completed certificate training programs according to Ministry of Education and Training
regulations.
- Perform other foreign language-related work such as translation and
interpretation, or IT-related work such as programming and software installation.
- Coordinate to organize monthly English Club to create a playground and
encourage students to participate and improve their English communication abilities.
- Participate in the University's annual enrollment activities.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the University.

Key Activities and Achievements
- Successfully organize English, Information Technology, Soft Skills, and
Professional Skills classes and organize output standard certificate examinations according
to University regulations.
- Successfully complete IT-related work such as programming to create tools,
software installation, and applying information technology to work.
- Organize and implement training programs and issue certificates for Center
learners who have completed certificate training programs according to Ministry of Education
and Training regulations: Basic and Advanced Information Technology Application Program,
English Program according to University output standards; Soft Skills Program; Professional
Skills Program; Other IT, Foreign Language, and skills training programs to meet learners'
needs.
- Sign contracts to organize the English Program test according to the 6-level
foreign language competency framework for Vietnam (VSTEP) by the National Testing Center and
Educational Quality Assessment - Ministry of Education and Training.
- Sign partnership contracts with IIG to provide TOEIC testing services. Expand
diplomacy with partner schools for integration, learning, and enhancing the Center's
activities.
- Establish relationships with local authorities to obtain permission to bring
volunteers to teach English at the Output Standards Center.
- Successfully coordinate and organize an expanded "English Club" to create
vitality for learners and attract new learners.
- Actively participate in the University's enrollment activities.
- Participate in contributing to help flood victims and poverty relief funds.
Support the University's Learning Promotion Association.
- Successfully complete other tasks assigned by university leaders.
- Always strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies, and State laws.
