On the morning of July 27, 2025, Nam Can Tho University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shin Ansan University (Korea), marking a new step forward in its strategy to expand international cooperation in education and scientific research.

Attending the signing ceremony, representatives from Nam Can Tho University included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phillip Tran – Director of DNC Health Science Institute, Dean of the Faculty of International Medicine, Head of the International Cooperation Office; MSc. Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong – Director of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, MBA – Head of the Communications Department; and MSc. Quach Nhat Kim – Assistant to the International Cooperation Office.

On behalf of Shin Ansan University, the attendees included: Mr. Ji Eui Sang – President of Shin Ansan University, Mr. Son Kyunghwan – Director of the Admissions Office, and Mr. Yun Seokhun – Officer of the International Cooperation Center.

At the working session, representatives of both institutions officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening up various opportunities in key areas such as: student, faculty, and staff exchange; joint organization of training programs and international academic conferences; implementation of collaborative research projects; sharing of academic resources; and support for internships, transfer programs, and scholarship opportunities for studying abroad in South Korea.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phillip Tran shared: “We believe that this collaboration with Shin Ansan University will not only create international learning and exchange opportunities for our students, but also contribute to fulfilling DNC’s mission – which is to train high-quality human resources who are ready to integrate and contribute to regional and global development.”
