DNC - On February 17 and 19, 2025, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) had the honor of welcoming a delegation of doctors and medical experts from Wonkwang University College of Medicine and Wonkwang University Hospital (Korea) to visit and exchange expertise at the DNC Institute of Health Sciences.
Wonkwang University College of Medicine in Korea, established in 1976, is ranked among the world's universities that meet the "Happy Students" standards. With the mission of nurturing talent, providing practical skills, and serving with sincerity, the university has been recognized by the Ministry of Education for its capacity to internationalize education. This event holds significant importance in promoting international cooperation in the fields of healthcare and education between the two institutions.

The visit marks an important step forward in the cooperative relationship between the two sides, opening up new opportunities in healthcare, education, and scientific research. Additionally, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions on emerging medical trends, innovative teaching methodologies, and modern healthcare models.

In addition to the tour and professional exchanges, both sides discussed potential future collaborations. Proposed initiatives include faculty and student exchange programs, joint research on advanced medical fields, and the organization of scientific seminars. Representatives from both universities expressed their desire to build a sustainable and long-term partnership, working together to improve healthcare quality and medical workforce training.

As part of the visit, the delegation also paid tribute at the Spiritual Park located at the rooftop of the DNC Institute of Health Sciences, offering incense in memory of the medical pioneers who made significant contributions to the development of medicine in Vietnam and around the world. This ceremony reflects the Eastern tradition of respecting and honoring ethical values in the medical profession and emphasizes the spirit of compassion and dedication to public health. The incense offering also serves to honor the contributions of previous generations and reminds future ones of their responsibility to preserve and promote medical excellence.

Through this event, Nam Can Tho University reaffirms its role as a medical education and research pioneer, continuously expanding international cooperation to deliver practical benefits to faculty, students, and the community.
