Nam Can Tho University officially established the International Medical Faculty and began providing medical training for the first 150 international students.
On June 24, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the DNC International Medical Faculty.
At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, stated that globalization and international integration in education have become inevitable trends. As a result, deep and extensive international integration in education and training is one of the main missions of the DNC today.

The establishment of the DNC International Medical Faculty is a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to enhance and expand international collaboration in education, training, and applied scientific research for both faculty members and students. According to Dr. Quang, Nam Can Tho University has been granted a license to provide training for international students from various countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Middle Eastern countries, in the field of healthcare. The DNC has also signed a memorandum of cooperation with The Vietnam Medical Education, India (VMED) to train the first 150 international students from India at the DNC. As the program continues to grow, the number of students will increase in the coming years.
In addition, DNC has actively worked towards being officially recognized as a medical university that meets the criteria set by the prestigious website WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools), becoming a training address in the world. Thereby, international students will be able to study and practice at DNC and have access to advanced quality education that meets international accreditation standards from the start of their undergraduate degree.
