Dr. Tran Thi Thuy, Vice Rector of the University, and Mr. Nguyen Tri Duc, Member of the University Council from Nam Can Tho University (DNC) joined the working group with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son on a working trip to Australia and New Zealand. During this trip, DNC signed a cooperation agreement with Waikato University (New Zealand), represented by Professor Neil Quigley, Rector of the University.
Waikato University, located in Hamilton, is one of eight public universities in New Zealand's fourth-largest city. As the country's most innovative and flexible university, Waikato University is committed to providing advanced training programs that equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the business world and contribute to the global development in science and technology. Recently, DNC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Waikato University in order to enhance students' understanding and preparation for international integration, stay updated on the latest advancements in higher education worldwide, and facilitate student exchanges between the two universities.
Within the context of the trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son also attended the awarding ceremony of eight cooperation documents between universities. These included agreements between Waikato University and Hanoi University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vinh University, and Nam Can Tho University. These universities also exchanged Memorandums of Understanding to continue implementing joint training programs in various fields such as business, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, big data, media, and health.
