DNC - Within the framework of the Cooperation Signing Conference between Can Tho City People's Committee and six universities in Can Tho City held solemnly on the afternoon of November 26, 2025, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) was honored to officially become one of the six important strategic partners, joining the city in realizing the aspiration to develop high-quality human resources for Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general.

The event took place at the City People's Committee Hall, witnessed by leaders of the City Party Committee, Can Tho City People's Committee, and various departments and agencies.

Attending the signing conference, representing Can Tho City Leadership were:

• Comrade Truong Canh Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee;
• Comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City;
• Comrade Nguyen Van Khoi - Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee;
• Comrade Vo Thi My Trang - Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Council;
• Comrade Nguyen Thi Hue Chi - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.

Representing Nam Can Tho University were:

• Dr - Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung - Chairman of the University Council, Chairman of Nam Can Tho University Medical Center;
• Dr. Nguyen Van Quang - Party Committee Secretary, Rector of Nam Can Tho University.
• Along with leaders of the University's units.

Speaking at the Conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang - Party Committee Secretary, Rector of Nam Can Tho University affirmed DNC's position as "One of the dynamic, creative private universities in practical training and applied research in the region". The speech emphasized the commitment to accompany and readiness to realize cooperation potentials, contributing to solving the human resource "bottlenecks" that the city is facing

The most important moment of the Conference was the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation. In a solemn atmosphere, representing Can Tho City People's Committee, Comrade Truong Canh Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee and representing the University, Dr - Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung - Chairman of the University Council, Chairman of Nam Can Tho University Medical Center signed the memorandum of cooperation, opening a new chapter in the comprehensive cooperation journey. The agreement includes many strategic fields, from science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; medical examination and treatment and preventive medicine; Industry consulting and management; smart urban development and local governance; International cooperation and resource mobilization; Social cooperation, community and youth. This not only expands opportunities for the University's training and research activities but also directly connects DNC students with practical environments at local agencies and enterprises.

On this occasion, to mark the strong cooperative relationship, Can Tho City People's Committee and Nam Can Tho University exchanged meaningful commemorative gifts. This gesture further affirmed the spirit of connection, respect and shared orientation towards common development values for the benefit of the community and the prosperity of the region.

This event was not merely a cooperation signing ceremony, but a concrete step towards realizing the community service mission of Nam Can Tho University. With the signed memorandum, DNC believes that the strategic cooperative relationship between the University and the city government will create new breakthroughs, contributing to writing successful pages in the history of education and socio-economic development of Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general.
