On September 17, 2025, Nam Can Tho University had the honor of welcoming the delegation from the Militia and Self-Defense Department – General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan – Chief of the Militia and Self-Defense Department, for a visit, inspection, and working session.

Accompanying the delegation were: Colonel Kieu Van Chinh – Deputy Head of the Force Organization Department, Militia and Self-Defense Department; Colonel Hoang Van Do – Head of the General Planning Department, Militia and Self-Defense Department; and Colonel Ta Phuc Son – Head of the National Defense Education Department, Militia and Self-Defense Department.

During the working session, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the teaching of the National Defense and Security Education course, including lesson plans, teaching methods, program content, and students’ learning attitudes and training discipline. They also reviewed facilities supporting defense and security education such as training grounds, classrooms, and simulation equipment.

On behalf of the delegation, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan praised Nam Can Tho University for its comprehensive investment in facilities for National Defense and Security education. He acknowledged the university’s faculty for their expertise and high sense of responsibility, as well as the students for their serious learning attitude, effectively combining theoretical knowledge with practical training.
