Immediately after the signing ceremony, the program continued with the 2025 Mock Trial, which simulated the criminal case “Organizing the Illegal Use of Narcotics.” The trial was conducted by prosecutors from the People’s Procuracy of Area 1 and Area 4 of Can Tho City, together with Law students, reenacting the entire criminal procedure-from prosecution and indictment to trial. This activity provided students with the opportunity to practice examination and argumentation skills, develop legal reasoning, and gain vivid exposure to real-world legal proceedings. The mock trial also helped raise community awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the responsibility of every citizen in crime prevention and control.
Alongside the mock trial, the program also featured a law-themed quiz activity for students, creating an exciting atmosphere and enhancing interaction. After the sentencing announcement, a representative of the People’s Procuracy of Can Tho City – Area 4 delivered a concluding speech, offering feedback and emphasizing the significance of organizing mock trials in legal education and in preventing drug abuse among students. The Organizing Committee also presented flowers and appreciation gifts to the coordinating units, sponsors, and groups who contributed to the success of the event.
