DNC - The Mekong Delta has opportunities to make a significant breakthrough, contributing a solid foundation for economic and financial development during the explosion of the 4th industrial revolution.
Grasping the trends and applying the advanced science and technology are the keys to the region’s breakthrough in economy and finance. The seminar “Developing Economy And Finance In The Mekong Delta during The Industry 4.0 Era” held by Nam Can Tho University (DNC) on June 29th 2024 was a demonstration of this effort.
The seminar attracted numerous participants, including scientists, experts, managers, entrepreneurs and economic-financial stakeholders. The seminar’s opinions concentrated on major issues related to the regional economy, finance and agriculture in the Mekong Delta such as: Finance, economic investments for economic and agricultural development; proposing some policies to encourage farmers to apply the circular economy model in garden economy; rice farmers; replicating the efficient models of circular economy; Finance and financial investment; corporate bonds and economic difficulties from the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020-2023 corporate bond crisis.
Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, stated that the new knowledge presented in the seminar reports and the conference proceedings will be valuable documents for promoting the sustainable development of finance and economy in the Mekong Delta during Industry 4.0. These large-scale scientific conferences will provide the authorities of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, scientists and entrepreneurs with a strong background to plan appropriate policies, contributing to the overall development of the region. We believe that with the cooperation of stakeholders, the Mekong Delta will grasp this golden opportunity, apply science and technology effectively to production and business in order to contribute to the sustainable development and prosperity of the region in the future.
