On the morning of June 26, 2025, at the Hippocrates Hall, Nam Can Tho University held a working session with Medent Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. The event aimed to promote cooperation in digital dentistry training and technology transfer, paving the way for new prospects in the field of Odonto-Stomatology in the Mekong Delta region.

Attendees included representatives from both parties. From the Medent delegation, representatives of Dentsply Sirona included Ms. Ronit Naor Tal – Regional Sales Director for Asia-Pacific, and Ms. Le Hong Linh – Director of Dentsply Sirona Vietnam. Representing Medent were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dam – General Director, and other company members participating in the signing ceremony.
From Nam Can Tho University, the event welcomed Dr. Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung – Chairman of the University Board; Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – University Rector; Dr. Tran Huu Xinh – Vice Rector, along with the heads of departments, faculties, centers, and students from the Odonto-Stomatology program and other disciplines.

During the session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on a comprehensive digital dentistry ecosystem, including the Intego clinical simulation model, 2D/3D diagnostic imaging systems, as well as modern restorative, orthodontic, and implant solutions. Medent also introduced a range of advanced hands-on training programs, offering students and faculty access to state-of-the-art equipment, scholarships, and internship opportunities within its international partner network.

In his remarks, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Rector of Nam Can Tho University – emphasized the vital role of partnerships in advancing dental technology and developing high-quality human resources. He expressed his hope that Medent's collaboration would further elevate the university’s teaching and clinical practice capabilities to international standards.

Representing the partner company, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dam – General Director of Medent – affirmed the company’s commitment to accompany DNC through technology transfer, equipment sponsorship, and training activities. He also expressed his admiration for the university’s strategic vision and significant investments in infrastructure and academic quality. Mr. Dam affirmed Medent's readiness to support the development of a Digital Dentistry Training Center at DNC.

Ms. Ronit Naor Tal – Regional Sales Director for Asia-Pacific at Dentsply Sirona – remarked that:

Following the speeches, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding and the Technology Transfer Acceptance Minutes took place solemnly, in the presence of university leaders and partner representatives. Both parties exchanged commemorative gifts and took photos to mark this milestone partnership. The event marked the beginning of a strong and long-term collaboration between Nam Can Tho University and Medent. It also opened doors to greater technological advancement, specialized training, and international cooperation in digital dentistry throughout the Mekong Delta region.
