Today, November 15, 2025, Nam Can Tho University and Nam Can Tho University Hospital visited Thuong Duc, Ha Nha, Dai Loc, Vu Gia, and Phu Thuan — areas still bearing the deep marks of Typhoons No. 12, 13, and 14 that recently swept through
The area still carries the smell of wet mud, the chill of post-storm winds, and streaks of water on the walls that seem to tell the story of the Central Vietnamese people’s struggle through hardship.
Amid these scattered rural landscapes, the DNC delegation brought 1,000 gift packages, totaling 500 million VND - small gestures of warmth to help ease the sorrow after the disaster. The delegation was led by Dr. Lawyer Nguyễn Tiến Dũng, Chairman of the Board of Nam Can Tho University, along with members from the University and Hospital.
This trip became even more special as Dai Loc is the hometown of Dr. Lawyer Nguyễn Tiến Dũng. Returning along the childhood streets now faded and scarred by floods, he shook hands with familiar residents and listened to stories he himself had witnessed and experienced in his own memories. The locals recognized a son of their land returning — not just to visit, but to share in their hardships.
Many elders were deeply moved upon meeting him; some had tears in their eyes, others smiled with hope, and there were heartfelt embraces — simple, yet profoundly warm. It became clear that the residents were not only waiting for aid packages, but for the sense of standing together, for sincere words of concern, and to know that people still cared for this place. DNC chose to be here not only out of a sense of community responsibility but from the heart. Because as long as Central Vietnam still faces difficulties, we want to walk alongside them.
Each gift handed out, each gaze meeting another, carried a deep sense of sharing — as if to say, “After the storm, human kindness still remains.” And in the moments seeing the residents of Dai Loc, Thuong Duc, Ha Nha… smile again after the floods, we are even more convinced that the resilience of the people of Central Vietnam is something no storm can ever wash away.
