Center for Student Support & Business Cooperation – On the morning of August 19, at Hall E2, the second session of the DNC Talkshow titled “Exploring Job Opportunities in the 4.0 Era” took place with the participation of HR professionals from the Can Tho City Employment Service Center as well as representatives from major and reputable companies and businesses in the Can Tho area.
The talk show took a practical approach by addressing employment issues for students from freshman year to graduation. Employment remains one of the most frequently discussed societal topics. Today, this subject has become what many call “old wine in a new bottle,” especially as it coincides with a global employment crisis and waves of layoffs. In this context, tackling the issue of employment amidst the industrial revolution 4.0 made the topic even more relevant and engaging.
“In this ‘critical moment,’ many people are hesitant to look for work or fear changing jobs. However, business development is still ongoing, and recruitment or layoffs are natural changes. Instead of being fearful or doubting yourself, now is the time to identify your strengths and weaknesses, work on improving them, and make a strong impression on employers. Additionally, upgrading your knowledge and skills—especially in technical and technological fields—is essential in the 4.0 era, to ensure you're not left behind.”
“As a reputable real estate company in the Mekong Delta, Dat Xanh Mien Tay also faces various challenges. But challenges are part of every era—and so are job opportunities. The important thing is to seize those opportunities, because with every challenge comes a chance. Above all, you must show your value to employers not just through your CV or profile, but through your willingness to face difficulties and your fearless attitude. That’s what makes you a standout candidate.”
“Make sure you are equipped with specialized knowledge, always ready in spirit, have clear career goals, master technology, use your time wisely toward future objectives, and most importantly, seek jobs through official, trustworthy sources.”
The talk show addressed numerous student concerns and provided valuable advice to help those who are still unsure about what to do or how to prepare for their career journey in the 4.0 era—ensuring they stay relevant and don’t get left behind.
