DNC - On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) held a meaningful ceremony to donate 500 million VND in support of residents in Northern Vietnam who have suffered severe losses caused by tropical storms No. 10 and No. 11.

The donation was raised through the voluntary contributions of DNC’s faculty members, staff, and students, reflecting the university’s spirit of compassion, unity, and community responsibility. This act embodies the Vietnamese tradition of “the good leaves protect the worn-out leaves,” a timeless value deeply ingrained in the DNC community.

Representing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Mr. Le Nguyen Sinh Nhat – Vice Chairman of the Committee, attended and received the donation.

From Nam Can Tho University, the attendees included:

• Dr. Lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung – Chairman of the University Council, Chairman of Nam Can Tho University Hospital;
• Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Party Secretary, Rector of Nam Can Tho University
• Along with leaders from departments, faculties, centers, and a large number of students.

During the ceremony, DNC’s leaders officially presented the 500 million VND donation to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, which will distribute the support to Northern provinces heavily affected by recent storms and flooding.
