On November 30, 2025, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) officially welcomed an exchange student delegation from National Central University, Taiwan (NCU), marking a new development in the university's international cooperation activities. The program was meticulously prepared to offer students practical learning opportunities and a chance to explore the culture of the Mekong Delta.
Early in the morning, representatives from the Faculty of Architecture – Construction and Environment were present at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) to welcome the delegation, demonstrating respect and a spirit of companionship. This is also the first group of NCU students to undertake an intensive internship at DNC, opening up many prospects for future cooperation.

After completing immigration procedures, the delegation traveled to Nam Can Tho University. Here, faculty members organized a warm meeting, providing an overview of the program, research orientation, and essential information to help NCU students better understand their internship process in Vietnam. The friendly and open atmosphere left a positive impression on the first day.

Arriving at the university, the delegation checked in at the DNC Eco-Tourism Resort – their primary accommodation throughout their internship in Can Tho. This is one of Nam Can Tho University's prominent amenities, offering a comfortable, green, and fully-equipped living space for the international student group. Arranging accommodation at the university's resort reflects thorough preparation, ensuring the best living and learning conditions for the delegation.

In the coming days, the NCU exchange students will participate in a series of academic activities combined with field surveys and cultural experiences characteristic of the Mekong Delta. Activities include: attending a Welcome Ceremony, studying in Smart Classrooms, visiting the museum – Truc Lam Zen Monastery, engaging in sports exchanges with DNC students, participating in English Club activities, conducting field surveys at Ong De Eco-Tourism, Concrete 620, and various other research activities under the program theme: "Physical-Mechanical Characteristics of Soil and Culture of the Mekong Delta Region".

In addition to specialized classes, the NCU student delegation took a tour to Ninh Kieu Wharf – a tourism symbol of Can Tho City. Here, they explored the characteristic river-based cultural space, learned about the wharf's history, and the development of Can Tho City. Under the gentle afternoon light, the students strolled along the riverbank, capturing memorable moments and experiencing the peaceful yet vibrant lifestyle of the Western region's people. This activity not only helped students better understand local culture and life but also created beautiful impressions during their study journey in Vietnam.
Exploring Ninh Kieu Wharf – the first river-based cultural experience journey for the NCU student delegation in Can Tho.
The student exchange program between Nam Can Tho University and National Central University (NCU) not only provides meaningful academic-cultural experiences but also affirms DNC's efforts in building an integrated and sustainable educational environment. This year's program activities contribute to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two universities, laying the groundwork for future research projects and international exchange opportunities. DNC believes that each exchange journey not only expands professional knowledge but also fosters cultural understanding and bonds students from the two countries.
