On December 15, 2025, Nam Can Tho University Medical Center (DNC) successfully held the Ceremony to Announce and Confer the AACI (USA) International Healthcare Accreditation. The event marked a historic milestone for the regional healthcare sector, as Nam Can Tho University Medical Center — a key component of the education–healthcare ecosystem of Nam Can Tho University (DNC) — became the first and only university medical center in the Mekong Delta to be recognized by one of the world’s most prestigious international accreditation organizations.
AACI (American Accreditation Commission International) is one of the most prestigious healthcare accreditation organizations in the United States, specializing in the assessment and recognition of medical institutions that meet international standards. Achieving AACI accreditation is the result of a long and rigorous journey, involving comprehensive evaluations of quality management systems, patient safety, professional competence, infrastructure, and healthcare services. For Nam Can Tho University Medical Center, AACI recognition not only affirms its outstanding medical capabilities but also opens significant opportunities for international collaboration and professional exchange with leading hospitals worldwide. This achievement represents a major milestone, solidifying the Medical Center’s position as an internationally accredited university hospital and a leading healthcare institution in the Mekong Delta region.

Recognizing that this achievement is built upon the trust and support of the community, prior to the announcement ceremony, the Medical Center launched a “Community Appreciation Week” featuring special programs, including free medical examinations and treatment, as well as discounted paraclinical services for all patients. The program was implemented from the afternoon of Saturday, December 6, 2025 through December 13, 2025. This initiative not only serves as an expression of gratitude to the community but also stands as a strong affirmation of the Medical Center’s mission to serve and contribute to public health.
