On June 12, 2025, a delegation from Nam Can Tho University, including Dr. Tran Huu Xinh – Vice Rector, Mr. Nguyen Tri Duc, MBA – Assistant to the Chairman of the University Council and Member of the Council – along with the leadership of the Faculties of Medicine, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology, conducted a working trip to Ho Chi Minh City. The visit aimed to strengthen connections and promote international cooperation with strategic partners from South Korea and the United States.
The program began with a visit and working session at the Representative Office of Gyeongsangnam Province (South Korea) in Ho Chi Minh City, hosted by Mr. Park Sung Jin – Director of the Office. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on potential cooperation between Nam Can Tho University and universities located in Gyeongsangnam – a province known for its well-developed higher education system, with many prestigious public and private universities in South Korea.

The discussions focused on establishing practical and long-term collaborations, particularly emphasizing student exchange programs, academic exchange between faculty and students, and opportunities for joint research in various academic fields. In the afternoon, the delegation held a working session at the U.S. Commercial Service Office to meet and discuss with representatives from Avila University (USA). Representing Avila University was Dr. Andy Jett – Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. The two parties explored potential areas of collaboration, such as international joint training programs, faculty and student exchanges, and extracurricular study opportunities for Nam Can Tho University students in the United States and vice versa.
