On the evening of September 24, 2025, at the Hippocrates Hall of Nam Can Tho University, the Secretariat of the Vietnamese Student Association at Nam Can Tho University solemnly held the Conference on the Announcement of the Establishment of the Affiliated Student Union. The event took place in an atmosphere of formality, excitement, and great enthusiasm.
The conference was honored by the presence of representatives from the Vietnamese Student Association of Can Tho City; members of the Secretariat of the Student Association of the University; as well as a large number of Youth Union – Student Union officials, association members, and students. The strong turnout of delegates, guests, and students highlighted the significance of the event, demonstrating genuine interest, support, and direction for student association work in this new phase.
At the conference, the Secretariat of the University’s Student Association officially announced the decision to establish and introduced the Executive Committees of the Affiliated Student Unions of Dong Thap, Can Tho, Ca Mau, An Giang, and Vinh Long, along with 19 subordinate student chapters. These newly formed units were reorganized following recent provincial-level administrative adjustments, with the aim of better connecting, supporting, and engaging students based on their localities and regions.
The establishment of the Affiliated Student Unions not only strengthens the organizational structure and enhances the effectiveness of the Association’s activities, but also marks a significant milestone in student affairs and movements at Nam Can Tho University.
This conference holds great significance, marking a new stage of development for the University’s Student Association. It lays a solid foundation for advancing student movements and further promoting the dynamism, unity, creativity, and pioneering spirit of DNC’s student members. It also serves as an opportunity for the Association’s leadership and staff to reflect more deeply on their roles and responsibilities in guiding, supporting, and inspiring students in their journey of growth and contribution.
At the close of the conference, the Executive Committees of the newly established Affiliated Student Unions were officially introduced and entrusted with their responsibilities. With a spirit of unity and youthful aspiration, these unions are expected to become a “common home” for local students studying at DNC — a place where enthusiasm is shared, intellect and courage are nurtured, and the pioneering role of students in the new era is affirmed.
