As part of the series “Enhancing Foreign Language Capacity in Youth Union and Student Association Activities for the 2025–2026 Academic Year,” one of the most anticipated events in Q3/2025 was a talk show titled: “Is Learning English as Difficult as You Think?” More than just a casual discussion, the program served as a bridge, giving students the chance to hear sincere, relatable, and inspiring stories from teachers and senior peers who had experienced the challenges of learning a foreign language.
During the talk show, students listened to real-life learning experiences, common difficulties at the beginning of the journey, and strategies to overcome psychological barriers—something many learners still struggle with. Guest speakers shared hard-earned lessons and practical study tips, offering students effective and personalized approaches to English learning. These became valuable “pocket tips” for anyone just starting out or feeling uncertain about their language-learning path.
The program also highlighted the vital role of English for DNC students—not only in their studies and examinations but also as a key to unlocking career opportunities after graduation. Heartfelt advice from the guest speakers helped students reshape their mindset, clarify “where to restart”, and build determination and motivation for their ongoing learning journey.
More than an exchange of ideas, the talk show became a strong source of inspiration, motivating students to actively improve their English skills. In doing so, they not only enhance their personal competencies but also contribute more effectively to Youth Union and Student Association activities in a modern, globally integrated academic environment.
