DNC - On September 25, 2025, at the Yersin Meeting Room in the Institute of Science & Health Building, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) solemnly held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with Tuoi Tre Newspaper. This signing marks an important milestone in strengthening the university’s brand, promoting its values, and fostering development in education, training, scientific research, and community service — contributing to greater outreach among students, parents, and society.

Dr. Nguyen Van Quang stated that DNC will continue to leverage its strengths in education and research while creating a favorable environment for students to participate in site visits, internships, skill development, and early career orientation. The university is committed to accompanying Tuoi Tre Newspaper in communication efforts and brand promotion, with the aim of building professional, effective, and long-term cooperative programs.

Students should directly engage in the process of news production, gain hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned journalists, and have their work published on official channels. Mr. Bui Tien Dung – Director of the Training Center and Head of the Education Division at Tuoi Tre Newspaper – gave a brief introduction to the training and coaching activities currently being implemented by the newspaper. Dr. Tran Thi Thuy – Vice Rector of the University – affirmed the university’s commitment to creating the best possible conditions for students majoring in public relations, communications, multimedia, and marketing to access structured internships and real-world experiences, effectively bridging academic theory with practical application.

The ceremony also featured thoughtful contributions from several faculty members, including Dr. Nguyen Van Tac – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tri Khiem – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration – Marketing, and M.A. Nguyen Hai Khoa – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Their remarks focused on expanding internship opportunities, developing practical journalism and communication modules, and integrating soft skills and foreign language proficiency into the curriculum — all aimed at better preparing students to confidently enter the job market.
This cooperation agreement outlines several key initiatives, including a collaborative training program titled “Reporting with Tuoi Tre” specifically designed for DNC students. The program will feature a series of practical modules on journalism and communication in the context of digital transformation, combined with field trips, hands-on experiences, and professional exchange activities. The training course offers students the opportunity to engage with a real-world working environment, develop multimedia journalism skills, apply modern technologies, and foster creative thinking — helping to equip them with a solid foundation for their future careers.
In addition, the agreement aims to enhance the presence of Nam Can Tho University in both the print and online editions of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, develop a dedicated education and training section, and boost multimedia content on digital platforms. This represents a sustainable communication strategy that will help increase brand visibility, strengthen community engagement, and enhance the university’s appeal in student recruitment. The ceremony concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere with the exchange of commemorative gifts and group photos, marking the beginning of hopes for a long-term, effective partnership between the two organizations.
