On August 16, 2024, according to Decision No. 1832/QĐ-UBND issued by the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, Nam Can Tho University was honored to have two initiatives recognized as having effective application and significant impact within the city. This is a notable achievement in the university's scientific research and innovation efforts by its faculty members and scientists.

Specifically, the two recognized initiatives are:

• 1. The TÂM MẠCH DNC product, which supports the treatment of lipid metabolism disorders in cardiovascular diseases, derived from goosegrass (Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertn.), Japanese pagoda tree flowers (Styphnolobium japonicum (L.) Schott), turmeric (Curcuma longa L.), and achyranthes (Achyranthes bidentata Blume).
• 2. Research, design, and fabrication of an overload warning model for trucks.

The recognition of these initiatives for their practical application and impact within the city clearly demonstrates Nam Can Tho University’s capacity for scientific research, spirit of innovation, and commitment to community responsibility. The university will continue to encourage, support, and create favorable conditions for staff, lecturers, and students to promote a spirit of research, contributing positively to the development of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.
