To strengthen international cooperation toward green and sustainable development, on October 31, 2025, at Pukyong National University (PKNU), Korea, Faculty of Architectural, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nam Can Tho University, held a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony with the Department of Ocean Engineering, Pukyong National University.
The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the 21st International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering (ICCEE 2025), with the participation of representatives from both universities, researchers, lecturers, and experts in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, and environmental studies.

Pukyong National University was established in 1996 in Busan, Korea, through the merger of the National Fisheries University and the Busan National University of Technology. It is one of Korea’s leading public universities, renowned for its academic excellence in marine sciences, ocean engineering, environmental technology, and green energy.

PKNU currently comprises six institutes, with over 700 faculty members and approximately 25,000 students, including thousands of international students. The university places strong emphasis on expanding international cooperation, promoting applied scientific research, and aiming to train high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the Asia–Pacific region.

The collaboration agreement between the two institutions aims to promote academic exchange, joint scientific research, implementation of training programs, and international student exchange. In particular, both sides will cooperate in the field of port construction engineering to support the development of green energy, contributing to the global trend toward sustainable development, clean energy, and a greener environment.
This event marks an important milestone in Nam Can Tho University’s journey toward international integration, affirming its academic reputation, research capacity, and strategic development vision toward the goal of “Green Construction - Green Environment - Sustainable Development and Global Integration.”
