In the afternoon of February 20, 2025, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) held a meeting with Thanh Nien Newspaper, officially reaching a decision to sign a strategic cooperation agreement. This collaboration connects the university’s strong educational foundation with the communication power of Thanh Nien Newspaper – one of the leading and most reputable media agencies in Vietnam. Through this partnership, both sides expect to achieve positive outcomes in promoting the university's image and high-quality training programs, meeting the increasing demands of society, while enhancing their positions in the fields of education and journalism.

Participating in the signing ceremony on behalf of Nam Can Tho University were Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Lawyer – Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the university, along with members of the University Council, Vice Rectors, and heads and deputy heads of departments. On behalf of Thanh Nien Newspaper, the attendees included Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan – Member of the Party Committee of the Central Youth Union, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper; Journalist Nguyen Trong Phuoc – Editorial Board Member, Director of the Digital Content Center, Head of the Education Department, along with department heads, journalists, and reporters.

At the reception, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Rector of the university briefly introduced the 12-year journey of construction and development of Nam Can Tho University. Throughout its development, the university has consistently received support from the Ministry of Education and Training. Thanks to that, the university has grown steadily and affirmed its position. It is hoped that leaders at various levels of the Ministry and other sectors will continue to support DNC in its development and its mission of providing high-quality human resources training.

On behalf of Thanh Nien Newspaper, Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan – Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper – also expressed his belief that this collaboration would bring mutual benefits. Thanh Nien Newspaper will have the opportunity to engage with students from various fields and disciplines, gaining access to their stories and creative ideas. At the same time, it will help spread educational values through the community activities organized by the university and its students.

The Memorandum of Understanding emphasized enhancing information exchange, embracing innovation, and promoting cooperation in the following key areas:

- Image Promotion: Strengthening the dissemination of information about DNC’s learning environment, modern facilities, training programs, and extracurricular activities on Thanh Nien Newspaper’s platforms. This also includes timely updates on school events, admissions plans, and strategic development directions, helping to bring DNC closer to students and parents.

- Educational Communication: Collaborating to develop educational media programs aimed at raising awareness among students about the crucial role of higher education in the country’s development.

- Career Opportunities: DNC graduates will receive significant support in pursuing their passions and gaining confidence in their career choices, reinforcing their belief in the programs they have chosen at DNC.

This event marks an important milestone in DNC's strategic development plan as the university continues to improve teaching quality and modernize facilities to meet international standards. This is aligned with its vision of global integration, aiming to attract international students not only in the field of medicine but also in many other disciplines.
