On the afternoon of June 24, 2025, two student teams representing Nam Can Tho University officially completed their preliminary round presentations for the innovative startup contest “Students with Innovative Startup Ideas 2025 – Startup First 2025,” organized by the Can Tho Center for Science and Technology Information under the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City.
Demonstrating creativity, enthusiasm, and a keen understanding of real-life issues, DNC students presented two unique startup ideas, rooted in local values and aligned with sustainable development trends:
The two products, "Tamado - Natural Beverage from the Dòi Plant" and "BB Plus - Mosquito Repellent Incense from Bồn Bồn flower", were showcased at the Final Round of the Startup First 2025 competition.
After a working session between the contestants and the judging panel, eight ideas from the student category and eight from the high school category were selected. In the student category, the project Tamado – Natural Beverage from the Dòi Plant proudly secured a spot in the Top 8 and advanced directly to the final round.
The selection of a DNC student project for the finals is a testament to the team's serious investment, continuous learning spirit, and ability to apply knowledge to real-life challenges. It also represents a valuable opportunity for young innovators to showcase their talent, entrepreneurial mindset, and spread positive values to the community.

On the morning of June 26, 2025, the final round of the competition “Students with Innovative Startup Ideas 2025 – Startup First 2025”, organized by the Can Tho Center for Science and Technology Information under the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City, took place successfully. Representing Nam Can Tho University, the project Tamado – Natural Beverage from the Dòi Plant proudly earned an award at this year’s event.
After more than three hours of intense competition alongside other teams, Tamado – Natural Beverage from the Dòi Plant secured a spot in the Top 5 overall and was honored with a Consolation Prize.
This achievement reflects the dedication of the student team, as well as the guidance and support of faculty members and administrators from Nam Can Tho University. By participating in this year's competition, DNC students affirmed their role and position in the field of innovative entrepreneurship, successfully advancing from among more than 80 submitted projects to reach the Top 8 finalists, and ultimately the Top 5 overall.
