Affirming its commitment to sustainable development and global integration, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) continues to expand international collaborations to provide students and faculty with a modern, world-class learning and research environment. In line with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW (August 22, 2025) of the Central Committee on breakthroughs in education and training, DNC has actively strengthened partnerships with prestigious institutions worldwide.
On August 23–24, 2025, a delegation from Nam Can Tho University and Nam Can Tho University Medical Center—led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phillip Tran, Director of the DNC Institute of Health Sciences and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Council of Nam Can Tho University Hospital—visited and held working sessions at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell), one of the leading public research universities in Massachusetts, USA.

Notably, UMass Lowell is well known for its Interactive Teaching Model—a smart classroom system that enhances faculty–student interaction and promotes effective team-based learning. This approach aligns with DNC’s early initiatives in Vietnam to elevate teaching and learning quality.

At the conclusion of the visit, the two institutions formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), creating sustainable opportunities for learning, research, and development for both faculty and students.
