On the morning of June 20, 2025, students from Nam Can Tho University were honored to attend the forum “Summarizing activities for the development of the innovative startup ecosystem in Can Tho City, period 2021–2025.” The event was held on the 5th floor of the Sheraton Can Tho Hotel, gathering numerous delegates from government agencies, leading experts, businesses, investors, startup support organizations, and students from various universities and colleges in Can Tho City.

At the forum, DNC students had the opportunity to access and listen to practical insights shared by experienced experts in the field of startups and innovation. The discussions focused on an overview of the startup ecosystem in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region over the past 5 years, as well as proposing directions and practical solutions to promote the wave of innovative startups in the coming period.

Through the forum, DNC students not only updated their knowledge but also expanded their networks, learned from successful models, and gained many valuable lessons from experts. This is a crucial foundation that helps students gain confidence in their future studies, entrepreneurial pursuits, and self-development.

In addition, Nam Can Tho University students also presented 02 startup ideas:

• A mosquito-repellent incense product made from the Bồn Bồn (Typha orientalis) flower, which helps repel mosquitoes effectively, has a light fragrance, is gentle, and provides a comfortable feeling for users as it does not have a strong chemical smell.
• A beverage product made from the Doi (Pouzolzia zeylanica) plant – a natural, refreshing drink combined with rock sugar, ginger, kumquat, and cogongrass root to create a gentle, cooling, detoxifying drink.

These are also the 02 products from Nam Can Tho University students participating in the competition “Students with Innovative Startup Ideas 2025 – Startup First 2025” to be held at the end of June. Let's actively support both teams and demand excellent performances that showcase DNC students as dynamic, creative, and globally integrated.
