The six-day journey of dedication and enthusiasm by the volunteer students in Phu Tho Commune, Phu Tho Province, concluded with pride and heartfelt emotions. The 2025 Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign, jointly organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Dong Thap Student Association, not only delivered meaningful community projects but also left unforgettable memories for both local residents and participating volunteers.
Throughout the campaign, volunteers carried out a variety of impactful activities such as presenting 10 scholarships to underprivileged students in the area, accompanied by vibrant cultural performances. With close cooperation between volunteers and the local community, the project “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful – Safe Road” was completed along a 500-meter stretch at the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s commune headquarters, including planting 1,000 Quynh Anh flowers, refurbishing playgrounds, and painting old benches—bringing new life to community spaces.
In a special act of remembrance and gratitude, 30 volunteers visited Tam Nong Martyrs’ Cemetery to offer incense and light candles for 43 unidentified fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. This solemn activity not only honored their memory but also inspired volunteers to reflect on the past, embrace responsibility for the future, and carry forward the mission of safeguarding peace and building the homeland with youthful energy and patriotism.
Sustaining their spirit of service until the final day, the volunteers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Dong Thap Student Association – Nam Can Tho University – enthusiastically engaged in additional community-oriented initiatives, such as visiting and presenting gifts to local policy-beneficiary families and actively assisting residents with digital transformation.
Though lasting only six days, the volunteer journey in Phu Tho Commune has become a cherished memory in the youth of every participant. The sweat shed on community projects, the smiles exchanged in simple daily interactions, and the candlelight flickering during the memorial night all contributed to a summer full of meaning and vibrancy. While the campaign has ended, the compassion, sense of duty, and youthful enthusiasm will continue to illuminate the path for future volunteer endeavors.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Phu Tho Commune, the Commune Youth Union Executive Committee, sponsors, partner organizations, and especially the volunteers, who together created a summer of warmth, significance, and humanity.
