The meeting between Nam Can Tho University and EVG took place in a cordial and productive spirit. Both sides discussed cooperation directions in education and community development, including international exchange, academic collaboration, community-based curriculum design, experiential learning, and student internship programs at Tra Vinh EVG and with international partners. The shared goal is to enhance access to quality education, foster global citizenship, and support the holistic development of young people in the Mekong Delta. Mr. Harry Pham Van Anh, Founder of EVG, shared:
“For EVG, building partnerships with domestic universities to promote community service models has always been a source of pride and our core mission. Through education, interdisciplinary learning, and the diverse participation of communities, governments, businesses, and researchers, EVG strives to create sustainable values that benefit society.”
During the meeting, representatives of EVG and the university leadership also discussed agreements leading to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the near future. This MOU will serve as a foundation for concrete cooperation in training, scientific research, and community engagement. Specifically, students will gain access to practical courses, internship opportunities at businesses, and participation in community projects organized by EVG. At the same time, the university and EVG will collaborate in research and technology transfer, thereby promoting high-quality education, nurturing global citizens, and contributing to the improvement of human resources, as well as the socio-economic development of the region. Additionally, both parties aim to expand opportunities for collaboration with international educational institutions, bringing added value to the Mekong River basin in general and to Vietnam in particular in areas such as education, livelihoods, culture, agriculture, processing, and fisheries.
