In the training program for the Resource and Environmental Management major at Nam Can Tho University, the integration of classroom theory and practical experience plays a highly important role. This approach helps students not only gain in-depth knowledge but also learn how to apply it effectively in real-life situations.
Recently, the DH22QLT01 class organized a field trip that integrated two course subjects: "Marine Resource and Environmental Management" and "Agricultural and Rural Environmental Management". The destination of the trip was the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography and high-tech agricultural production models in Da Lat.
At the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography, students explored marine ecosystems, oceanic biodiversity, rare marine species, and the negative impacts of human activities such as overfishing, plastic waste, and climate change. They also visited the marine life museum, which showcases many valuable specimens. The trip not only expanded their professional knowledge but also raised awareness and responsibility for protecting the marine environment—an urgent task as Vietnam's marine resources are increasingly under threat.

Continuing the journey, the stop in Da Lat—one of Vietnam’s leading high-tech agricultural hubs—offered students a practical look into the relationship between agriculture and the environment. Here, students were introduced to modern farming models such as greenhouses, organic cultivation, and high-tech systems for microclimate monitoring, water regulation, and nutrient management for crops.
In addition, students learned how local agricultural facilities manage agricultural waste, reuse by-products, and apply biological methods to minimize pesticide use—an effective approach that helps protect the rural environment and community health.

The combination of theory and practice in this trip provided students with not only specialized knowledge but also opportunities to compare, analyze, and assess the challenges and opportunities in current resource and environmental management in Vietnam. This is a practical foundation that boosts students’ confidence in their career paths—becoming contributors to a green economy and sustainable development.
The field trip was a great success thanks to the enthusiastic support from DNC Travel. As a professional organizer of practical learning programs for students, DNC Travel ensured that the itinerary was carried out scientifically, safely, and effectively. As a result, the trip was not only an educational activity but also a meaningful and memorable real-life experience for the DH22QLT01 class.
