On the evening of October 15, 2025, at Hall E2 of Nam Can Tho University, the atmosphere erupted in vibrant colors and sounds as the Final Round of the “DNC K13 Freshman Talent Contest” officially commenced. This annual event, organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of Nam Can Tho University, aims to welcome the new student cohort, provide a healthy cultural and artistic platform, ignite passion and creativity, and empower students to confidently express themselves throughout their academic and personal development journey at their beloved DNC campus. 

After nearly a month of launching and conducting the preliminary round, the contest received hundreds of diverse entries, including solo and duet singing, modern dance, cải lương, drama, dance, and instrumental performances, etc. From these, the Organizing Committee selected the 15 most outstanding acts to participate in the Final Round, delivering impressive, student-spirited, and emotionally powerful performances.

The Judging Panel for the Final Round comprised:

• Ms. Tô Thị Ngọc Trầm, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Office of Admissions, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union, President of the Student Association
• Singer Trần Phúc – Vocalist of Fox Band
• Mr. Trần Tiến Phát – Choreographer and alumnus of the Tourism and Travel Services Management program, Cohort 3
• Ms. Nguyễn Phạm Bảo Khuyên – First Prize winner in solo singing at the DNC Student Arts Festival, Academic Year 2022–2023 
• Mr. Trần Hoàng Hiếu – First Prize winner in solo singing at the Traditional Arts Competition for DNC Students, Academic Year 2024–2025

Under the dazzling stage lights, DNC’s “new stars” took turns shining with their talent, confident performance styles, and passionate spirit. Each act told its own story, bringing a unique artistic flair and contributing to a memorable “feast” of music and emotion for the entire audience present in the hall.

Final Results of the “DNC K13 Freshman Talent Contest” – Academic Year 2025–2026: 

• Champion: Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Quý – Class DH25DPT01 
  Performance: "Nỗi đau giữa hòa bình" – a deeply emotional artistic presentation portraying the sorrow of war and the longing for peace, delivered with heartfelt emotion, a powerful voice, and impressive expressiveness.
• First Runner-Up: Dương Thị Kim Ngân – Class DH25YKH01
  Performance: "Drama" – a vibrant and high-energy modern dance routine, combining powerful choreography with sophisticated staging, showcasing the creativity and bold spirit of DNC students.
• Second Runner-Up: Võ Kim Ngọc – Class DH25YKH02
  Performance: "Mưa chiều miền Trung" – a tender and lyrical song evoking the rustic charm of the homeland, performed with a clear, delicate voice and refined emotional expression.

Consolation Prizes were awarded to the following students:

• Nguyễn Tuấn Anh – Class DH25MAR02 with the performance “Con cò”
• Trương Xích Huy – Class DH25TCN01 with the performance “Thương hoài hai tiếng Cải lương”
• Thạch Thành Nam – Class DH25DPT01 with the performance “Chàng trai đẹp và cô gái xinh”
• Đoàn An Biên – Class DH25LUA01 with the performance “Người là niềm tin tất thắng”
• Phạm Thị Yến Nhi – Class DH25DPT02 with the performance “Thênh thang đường mới”
• Trần Tường Vy – Class DH25DDU02 with the performance “Ước mơ của mẹ”
• Nguyễn Văn Xuyên – Class DH25MAR03 with the performance “Nỗi đau giữa hòa bình”

More than just a performance platform, the “DNC Freshman Talent Contest” serves as an opportunity for the 13th cohort of students to connect, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and collectively spread the message: “DNC Students – Confident, Dynamic, Creative, and Globally Integrated.” Every song, dance, or story shared on stage reflects the youthful, compassionate spirit and the aspirational drive of Nam Can Tho University’s student body.

The contest concluded in a vibrant and emotional atmosphere. Thunderous applause, the joyful spark in the eyes of the contestants, and the enthusiastic cheers from the audience came together to create a truly meaningful night of artistic celebration. The success of the program stands as a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering a dynamic, creative, and holistic learning environment—where DNC students not only excel academically but also live fully with passion and purpose.
