On September 15 and 16, 2025, Nam Can Tho University officially hosted a grand welcome ceremony for its Cohort 13 freshmen, marking the start of Orientation Week, which runs from September 15 to 22. The event is one of the university’s key annual activities, serving as a significant milestone for new students as they begin their academic journey and officially become part of the DNC community.

A highlight of the welcome program was a series of lively performances, featuring upbeat, youthful songs and a unique fusion of traditional and modern dance. These artistic showcases created an energetic and festive atmosphere, inspiring and motivating the new students as they prepare to embark on their academic journey.

The welcome program served as the official opening for Orientation Week — a vital initiative designed to guide and support new students as they transition into university life. Throughout the week, freshmen will be introduced to the university’s traditions, mission, vision, core values, and its comprehensive educational ecosystem. They will be equipped with essential knowledge and skills to adapt to university-level learning, including an overview of academic regulations, student affairs, youth and student union activities, and practical guidance on safety, security, gender education, fire prevention, and first aid. Students will also gain insight into international programs, scholarship opportunities, scientific research, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, interactive sessions with lecturers, alumni, psychological counselors, and senior students will help build connections and provide valuable advice as they begin their academic journey.
