On September 12, 2025, at the online meeting room – Zone I, Center for Software Development and Application, Nam Can Tho University, the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation between Nam Can Tho University and Tien Giang University took place. This important event marks a new development in the cooperative relationship between the two universities, opening up many opportunities in training, scientific research, and community service.

In the context of continuous innovation and integration in higher education, strengthening cooperation between universities is an inevitable trend to maximize strengths, share resources, and jointly improve the quality of training, scientific research, and community service. Nam Can Tho University and Tien Giang University are both reputable educational institutions in the Mekong Delta region, sharing the same mission of training high-quality human resources and contributing to the sustainable development of the region and the nation. Therefore, the signing of this cooperation agreement carries important significance, creating new opportunities in joint training, academic exchange, scientific research, and community engagement activities.

According to the agreement, the two universities will jointly implement many meaningful activities:

• Cooperation in training and fostering high-quality human resources in line with the socio-economic development needs of the Mekong Delta region.
• Co-organizing scientific conferences and seminars to create academic forums for lecturers and students.
• Promoting scientific research and technology transfer associated with local practices, while expanding opportunities for internships, experiential learning, and international collaboration for both sides.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of both universities affirmed that the signing of this cooperation is an important step in expanding the network of connections among universities in the region, contributing to improving the quality of training, research, and community service.

This agreement not only creates more learning and research opportunities for students and lecturers but also contributes to the sustainable development of higher education in the Mekong Delta.

In the coming time, DNC and TGU will concretize the cooperation contents through practical programs and projects to ensure long-term and sustainable effectiveness, especially in the fields of health sciences, high-tech agriculture, information technology, economics, and management.
