On September 9, 2025, Kien Giang University hosted the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Nam Can Tho University (DNC) and Kien Giang University (KGU). This important event marked a new stage in the cooperative relationship between the two universities, with the shared goal of improving the quality of education, scientific research, and community service.
In the context of Vietnamese higher education increasingly focusing on integration, cooperation, and sustainable development, DNC and KGU have found many commonalities in their vision and training mission. Both universities aim to become reputable educational institutions that meet the practical needs of society, particularly in the Mekong Delta region.

The signing of this MOU aims to create opportunities for both universities to leverage each other’s strengths in training and research, enhance academic collaboration, improve the quality of human resources for the region and the country, promote international cooperation, and gradually integrate more deeply into the global education system.

The leadership of Kien Giang University also affirmed that this cooperation with DNC will help KGU strengthen ties with reputable educational institutions in the region, share experiences and resources, and thereby improve the quality of training and scientific research.

Following the signing ceremony, both sides will promptly develop an implementation plan for specific cooperation programs, with priorities including: developing joint training programs, co-organizing regional scientific conferences and seminars, and encouraging students to engage in research and innovative entrepreneurship.
